Wed, August 29, 2018
Meanwhile prices were more or less stable, in July of 2018. This means that the average Belizean household experienced a 0.5 percent increase in the cost of regularly purchased goods and services when compared to the same month last year. What does that mean for your basic foodstuffs? Here's a breakdown:..

Jaqueline Sabal- Statistician II
"There were noticeable decreases observed in the average price of certain meat and fruits and vegetables. Namely the price per pound of ground beef decreased by 1.5%, the price per pound for pork chops decreased 3.3%, pig tail fell 3.1%, the steak fell 4.2% and sweet pepper fell 2.2%. However, these decreases were mostly offset by increased prices in various other food prices, namely, for example, a litre of natural milk increased 6.9%, for red kidney beans the price per pound increased by 11.7%, pineapple went up 22.4%, potato 12.1% and cabbage 7.2%."
