Matura Man Charged For City Shooting

On Monday we told you about the attack on Thomas Ferguson Jr.

On Friday night, the 19 year old was shot in the lower back and lower abdomen but survived. It happened not far from his home on Arlington Drive.

Yesterday Jermaine Matura, accompanied by his attorney, Leeroy Banner, went to the police station and handed himself in.

Today, the police arraigned the 26 year old.

He was charged with attempted murder when he appeared today before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. Matura was also charged with dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm. No plea was taken and bail was denied.

He was remanded until December 6.

Ferguson Jr is a witness in his father's murder - and that case is coming up shortly.
