Alleged Teenaged Cop Killer Smiles During Arraignment
Tue, November 6, 2018
Today, the alleged teenaged cop killer Tyrique Myles was taken to court and charged for the murder of PC Osbourne Martinez.

The 18 year old was just released from the hospital for a gunshot to his right upper thigh - which was sustained in the shootout with police. Myles is believed to be the mastermind behind the robbery - and today at court, he was smiling as police escorted him to the detention cell. Appearing in court before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford, he said that several police officers threatened to kill him but he doesn't know their names.

The Tibruce Street resident was one of three young men who allegedly attempted to rob Belcove Hotel on Friday morning. Myles is believed to be the one who then shot PC Martinez as he charged into the hotel to stop the robbery in progress. All three have been charged for murder. And today - just like his alleged accomplices - Myles was also charged with 3 counts of robbery, one counts of keeping a firearm without a gun license and one count of keeping ammunition without a gun license. He was remanded into custody until January 8, 2019.

Myles is well known to the police, but many may not know him by face, because he was only 16 when he allegedly robbed performer, Tanya Carter.
