Fri, January 18, 2019

Rural Corozal has gotten two brand new health centers as part of government’s strategic direction towards the UN Sustainable Development Goal- Good Health and Well-being.

Both facilities were officially inaugurated between yesterday and today, which means the doors are officially opened to serve a total of 3,700 people from San Pedro-Cristo Rey and Sartenaja.

Both are set to provide residents with easier access to quality health care, preventative and curative services and an enhanced epidemiological surveillance program. Both are estimated at a cost a combined 1.61 million dollars. The construction of the health centers were facilitated by the Government of Belize through the Caribbean Development Bank.
