Today was day one of the 2019 Ruta Maya competition and the NICH team led by repeat champion is the leader after day one. 

The race started out at 7:00 from the Hawkesworth Bridge in Cayo and went to the first stop in Banana Bank.  

The NICH team is three minutes ahead of Burn Box, and “Be Informedâ€￾ - which is the ICJ team running in third.

They can make up the gap during tomorrow’s leg, which is the longest at 60 miles - and goes from Banana Bank to Double Head Cabbage.
