Yohny Says Guilty or Not, His Truck Is Gone
Tue, December 10, 2019
Of course, it's no consolation for Rosado whether he's charged or not - because he's lost a customized pickup truck valued at 45,000 dollars.

Today he told us that the system has failed him - even when he played by all the rules - starting with the moment he woke up to see his stolen truck racing down the road - away form his home:

Yohny Rosado
"At the moment when it happened I went berserk but thank god I did the right thing. My wife was by my side with my child. So, I stayed back and I did what a civilized person would do, just stay put against your will because when you see someone stealing from you the immediate reaction is to run behind your belongings, your property. And I had other vehicles to chase down the thief. But I stayed put and I did the right thing and I called the police. And then you find out that the car broke up, crashed up. Who could do such a thing. But Jules, I am here to give you an interview to let you know that people know already what was going to happen. I could come and hurt you and kill you and murder you and broke up your whole house and I will plead not guilty and plead bail and be out there any way. Only the people of this country believe that they will plead not guilty and the police will do their magic and the judge will do their magic and the lawyers will do their magic and you are free. That is what is in their mind. Because I want system like the young man whereby I can get my truck back and turn back time, but no. The police and the system told them no. You don't have to go through that. You can go through the system and we will bail you out and tomorrow you are home with your mom. And so, at the end of the day, I feel like I am no where to get my truck back. Nor from the law enforcement nor from the courts side, nor from no where. Everybody is questioning me on social media. Bwai, Jules, but if you had your house opened, you got a right to make people steal your laptop, since you never locked your door. And we give the criminal and our society a lot of room to be corrupt and involve themselves in criminal activity. I could have left that engine on by mistake or by virtue of free will. And if somebody like you takes my vehicle without permission that's theft. That is the definition of theft. Theft is only when you take my stuff without my permission. But people are getting confused saying the vehicle was opened. Even the CIB are questioning the part that they want to hold me 50% guilty and the guy 50% guilty. That's how crazy our mind and society has taken us but it is not like that. We got to go back to the origins to old school, to where if you thief you thief."

Rosado says he did try - without success - to reach an agreement with the family of the accused where he would drop charges in exchange for the young man signing an agreement to pay back for the pickup over time.
