A BDF soldier shot himself in the leg while routinely clearing an M16 rifle today.
Reports are that 21 year old Private Macario Cus had just returned from detail to Fair-weather Camp in Punta Gorda when a routine task went horribly wrong.
Cus's weapon accidentally discharged and hit him in the upper leg. His fellow soldiers put him on a stretcher, hauled him into the back of a truck, and rushed him to a medical facility. He is in a stable condition and reports say an X-Ray to locate the bullet is currently being conducted. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
