| Pompeo to CARICOM: Pass On Communist Cash |

| Earlier this week, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo travelled to Jamaica and met with with six selected CARICOM foreign ministers. His basic message: be wary of China and their big money deals.
Pompeo met with the Foreign Ministers for Bahamas, Belize, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Haiti, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and St Lucia.
Pompeo made a sales pitch for the US to remain the ally and partner of first resort for the region. Seeking to underscore US influence in the region and woo nations away from China and Venezuea, he's said Latin America and the Caribbean are no longer out of sight for the US:
He also used the opportunity to take a dig at PETROCARIBE. Pompeo said, quote: "PetroCaribe is fading into the sunset, as the Maduro regime itself will do."
