There’s no Coronavirus in Belize. Tonight we can confirm that the region, including Belize, has no confirmed case of the novel Coronavirus. 

Still, surveillance activities in relation to the virus continue. 

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health held a meeting with airport authorities to review screening methods to be implemented in the event of any suspected case.

The Ministry has also been engaged in discussions about the regional response to the virus with PAHO regional and country offices.

We remind you that the best way to reduce spreading viruses Including Coronavirus is by practicing proper hand-washing hygiene, cleaning hands with soap and clean running water, covering nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing with a tissue or inside elbows.
