And, we have seen about a dozen tender requests for the paving of city streets.  It's nothing fancy, basic chip and seal - and - aware of the fact that many works contracts are used for political profiteering - we asked why the council doesn't just do it using its own tar truck.   That seemed to prompt some on the spot soul searching:
