Today the Trade Union Congress held a press conference to discuss UNCAC, and the government’s failures.  But, it also used the opportunity to make government know that it has the teachers union’s back:

"I find it absolutely ridiculous that they are being pushed around and not given the chance to sit down in earnest and make some meaningful suggestions as to how else these issues at hand can be addressed. For us at the congress, it was clear but we cannot allow our sister union to stand on its own in regards to this matter. We're asking again, the Minister of Education to pay heed to the call of the union."
