Belize, 1 of Very Few Without COVID For 30 Days

And, now at that 32 day mark with no new positive cases, Belize joins a short list of only seven countries and territories in this hemisphere that have gone more than 30 days without showing a positive case.

According to WHO statistics, only four sovereign nations: Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Suriname and Belize are on that list. And only Belize, at 32 days without and Surname at 41 days without are on the American mainland. The rest are small islands or territories: Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat, St. Bart's Anguilla and Saint Pierre and Miquelon.

World-wide, there are only 14 countries or territories that have gone more than 30 days without detecting a positive case.
