Taiwan’s Timely Donation
Fri, May 15, 2020
Belize has received a generous donation of much needed Personal Protective Equipment from the Rotary Club of Taipei Nanlung. The donation was handed over in a ceremony held on Wednesday by Belize's Ambassador to Taiwan, Diane Haylock.

It was the initiative of Taiwanese-Belizean, Mr. Feng-Yi Chang, and is made up of 200 protective gowns and 5,000 medical gloves.

But it's far from Taiwan's first contribution to Belize's war against COVID-19. As we've told you, Taiwan was the first country to donate masks and medical equipment to Belize.

The country's government has also gifted Belize with imaging cameras capable of tracking and detecting the body temperatures of 10 people at the same time. And back in March, Taiwan made a $2 million dollar contribution aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19 in Belize.
