Real Estate’s Reaction To COVID Crisis

Switching subjects now….earlier we told you about the Hotel Association's vote for an August first airport opening, well Belize's Real Estate brokers are also calling for that. Today their President Hugo Moguel sat in solidarity with BHA President Ted Tejada claiming that creative and practical preparations for a return to business, as usual, must be made.

And while Real Estate transactions continued during the lockdown they were minimal leaving the industry like their counterparts in tourism on life support. Nevertheless, Moguel says that when it comes to real estate there's plenty of international interest in Belize.

AREBB believes that Real Estate is a critical industry that supports many others including the tourism industry, but also government revenues, and construction.
