Alleged Killer's Gramma Defends Him
Fri, July 10, 2020
And, all those names come out of the Southside state of emergency, activated after the the brutal weekend murders of 23-year-old Raheem Myles and 19-year-old Raheem Faber.

Among the detained is Ainsworth Foreman, also known as Maca. He might be the prime suspect in Faber's murder but up until now, the cops haven't been able to prove his involvement or charge him for murder.

This morning I spoke with his grandmother who says that he had nothing to do with Faber's death and that, as a matter of fact, they were friends.

There have yet to be any arrests in the murder of Raheem Faber and police say it's gang intimidation:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of police
"While yes, we may know who these persons are, the difficulty is the fact that they threaten people and witnesses are unwilling to cooperate. So, because of that, we have not been able to bring charges against anybody, but CIB personnel are on it, they are still interviewing people, they are still trying to convince those persons who saw what happen to give statements."

But one person who gave us her statement today is the grandmother of the alleged killer, Ainsworth Foreman known as Maca who on Monday became the prime suspect in Faber's murder. Police say Faber was selling him a gun:

Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"We had information that the shooting of Faber came about from the sale of a gun. And apparently, the same gun that he was selling, was what was used for his murder."

Now Sandra Uter says the allegation against her grandson is false. She claims that Faber and Maca were waiting on takeout when bullets started to fly.

Sandra Uter, Grandmother of Kishawn
"The young man that got killed was his friend. It's him who had him here some days, all day there in this yard but what happened why he ended up down there. According to my understanding, he and the same young man that killed him had hard talks I don't know pertaining to what. He told him to go home, don't come back right now go home. The young boy gone. The night when he got killed it's because they went to buy food. He was the driver because my grandson only has a permit."

"That's the car right down there that's the car that they were in. By the time they came back from buying the food they came out of the vehicle, he stood up and he went on his phone, my grandson because he was the driver. The young man Faber was the driver for the vehicle. My grandson came out and they stood up there waiting."

"They tell me the guy was on his phone when they heard a first shot was fired and everybody ran. You won't stand up if a shot is fired you might be in a little crowd but you won't stand up cause you don't know if it's you they come for or not. They ran, he said he ran and that's when they shot the boy in his head and I don't know where else they shot him because it was about according to what I understand it was about four or five shots the young man got."

"What they're trying to do what Chester is trying to do is implicate my grandson in that and he is not that type of a person if you are his friend you're his friend until the end that is how he stays."

Reporter
"As we understand it the allegation earlier this week was that there was a gun deal."

Sandra Uter, Grandmother of Kishawn
"There was no gun deal, There was no gun deal so people, where he got that explanation from is totally wrong. He didn't get the full information."

And what about Raheem Myles - the man who was killed in retaliation less than 24 hours later? He was practically Uter's neighbor she says, he didn't deserve what he got.

Sandra Uter, Grandmother of Kishawn
"To me it's a revenge killing, it's a revenge killing….as a matter a fact that young man Myles he works hard, he works hard so at least they shouldn't have bothered with him because he's not into that, he's not really into that."

And while the families of the two Raheem's, Faber and Myles, mourn their only consolation is that an entire Southside state of emergency has resulted from the murders of their sons.
