UB Graduates In a Time Of COVID
Thu, July 30, 2020

The University of Belize has been in the news in recent weeks for tensions between its administration, and faculty union, but this morning they were pleased to announce the nationwide graduation of 600 students.

In a release, the University says quote: "Despite the challenges of the COVID 19 pandemic and the near physical lockdown of the University, online teaching and learning modality ensured that this large number of students met their requirements as hoped for."

They go on to say that for the first time in their history they've produced 40 more graduates at the Bachelors' level than at the Associates level. The majority of these, as in past years, are female.

The University is actively planning for its graduation ceremonies in Punta Gorda and in Belize City scheduled for October 2020.
