Over the past three days, a workshop was held with 26 members of the medical community from across the country to train them on the management of sexual assault examinations. Many times these examinations are mishandled due to lack of standards, and that affects any court cases that are being heard. This training sought to ensure that medical professionals are better equipped and have a set of guidelines to follow, in the doctor's office and in the courtroom. The session was headed by a consultant from the University Hospital in Jamaica. At the closing today, we learned more from the facilitators.

The training was in collaboration with the EU and UNDP.
