| SOE Ends, Suspects Still At Large |

| Last week saw the end of the month-long state of emergency. The ComPol wanted an extension, but Cabinet rejected it. He said that they were able to make some arrests in pending murder cases, but there are still suspects at large.

"We did charge some people for some offenses, or some crimes. You'll know that some people were charged for murder, including two who were charged for the murder of the police officer in Roaring Creek and we also are looking for two other suspects in respect to a murder in Belize City but as I had said before tat we needed more time to complete the gang investigation. So while the SOE has expired, we continue our investigation in terms of the gang membership and whenever the GI3 get through with those investigations then we'll be filing or levying charges against some people."
