Broadway Actress with Belizean Roots Nominated Again For Tony Award

And finally tonight, a US actress with deep Belizean roots has been nominated for a Tony Award for a third time.

Kara Young's parents both come from Belize, and she embraces her Belizean identity and the history of her family. She has been nominated for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her role in Clyde's, a Broadway show.

And this morning, Young was a guest on Sunup on 7 via Zoom, where she spoke about the importance of her nominations as a black actress.
