| Coast Guard Meets To Discuss Strategic Future |

Minister of National Defence and Border Security Oscar Mira, along with CEO Francis Usher, met with top officials of the Belize Coast Guard last week for a high-level briefing on the strategic direction of the maritime force.
The session, led by Coast Guard Commandant Rear Admiral Elton Bennett, was part of the Senior Officers Conference held from May 8th to 9th at the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.
The briefing outlined the Coast Guard's Command Plan for the next 12 months, with a focus on recruitment, welfare initiatives, capacity building, and infrastructure development. These efforts are aimed at strengthening the organization's operational readiness and enhancing national maritime security.
