| City Mayor Expects New Trade License Regime To Introduced At Year's End |

| And the city -along with other municipalities and villages are getting ready for a revenue boost at the end of this year when government approves the switch to a new trade license regime.
It was supposed to be implemented last year, but, of course, politics trumped that in the runup to elections. The mayor says he expects it this year:

"Yeah that has been a very long process and I am certain that given the fact it has already been passed in the house and in the senate and has been signed off by the governor general. We have had indications from the mayor's association that the trade license should come into effect later on this year, around November as we prepare for the new calendar year, the new fiscal year, next year."
