He was one of the heroes on that ill-fated Tropic Air flight - but recovering from the injuries he sustained in the ordeal has proven difficult for Fitzgerald Brown. Two recent posts show just how difficult. A reel posted by Ronnie Ek shows the challenging physiotherapy treatment Brown is receiving,. Ek's post says, quote, "He didn't just survive a national emergency. He stayed calm, helped save many lives, and is now leading that patience and determination through recovery. From mystery to movement, this hero's story is only beginning."

A family friend Jacquline Ifield writes in a separate post that Brown is recovering at home in Corozal after receiving 7 stab wounds to his legs, head, shoulder and back.

Brown is the passenger who hijackcer Akinyele Taylor stabbed first to announce that he was hijacking the plane. He bled out for two hours while the plane circled Belize, and as Taylor was trying to kill pilot Howell Grange when they landed, he fired the fatal shots killing the hijacker in the middle of his stabbing spree.
