| And we also asked Musa his thoughts on highway speeding by ministerial drivers. As we reported, Henry Charles Usher's driver got into an accident that wrecked his ministerial vehicle-which was bought in August of 2025 for almost a hundred thousand dollars.
But in our daily news outings, we've witnessed many instances of ministers and their drivers racing down the highway. Though it may not mesh with our observations in the field, Musa says he always drives within the speed limit:
Kareem Musa:
"Yes, I often see vehicles over there, and I tell my driver, 'Relax yourself. There's no need to be racing. The destination will still be there, even though we're going 55 miles an hour.' So it's very important-drivers, ministers, everybody who has custody of a government vehicle-it is not our own vehicle. We have to be more careful on the road. We have to drive within the speed limit. That's very important because it's not our asset. And I'm just very thankful that no one was seriously injured in this particular case, and I wish Mr. Blades full recovery."
