The military tacticians say that to ensure peace you've got to prepare for
war, and maybe that's what caught Arthur Young in Independence Village this
morning.
Young of the "back a town" crew famously agreed to a truce with George
Street last month, and indeed the street violence has sharply declined. But
this morning police busted Young and two associates in a hotel room in Independence
Village with an illegal weapon.
Around 5:30, police searched the room of a hotel in Independence Village and
found Young in the room with Angus Bruce Clare and Godwin Flores both from West
Landivar. The search yielded a 9mm pistol with 19 live rounds and another magazine
with 16 rounds. They also found 5.6 grammes of marijuana.
All three men have been charged with keeping unlicensed firearm and ammunition
and drug possession.
