33-year-old Arthur Young, who was a gang rival of Junie Balls back in the 90's,
is out on bail tonight, after going to court on a firearm charge today. The
33 year old who had recently been bailed on another firearm offence was back
in court today, after he was busted with a stolen 9-millimeter pistol.
He was charged with handling stolen goods, keeping a firearm without a license,
keeping ammunition without a license resisting arrest, escape and failing to
report to the police. He was represented by Ellis Arnold and was released on
$5,000 bail with his case adjourned to October fourth.
He was arrested on Thursday night on George Street when police searched him
and found the loaded pistol which had been reported stolen from Jermaine Caine's
home in April of this year. He was detained but resisted arrest and escaped,
the police claim. But police caught up to him yesterday and brought him to court
today.
