Belizeans across a number of communities are gearing up for another night of blackout after BEL announced this evening that starting at 7:00, beginning with Ladyville down to Lake Independence, and extending to San Ignacio, Orange walk, Corozal, Belmopan and Dangriga….there will be outages up to 9:30pm and some areas even until midnight. So far only the Toledo district has not appeared on this evening's schedule for load shedding.
This has, of course, become necessary because BEL does not currently have enough generation capacity in country and Mexico's CFE is unable to supply them at this time due to power demands in Mexico.
