The word "ITZAT" translates to "The Wise One" in Maya. And that's why it was chosen as the namesake for the "Itzat Steam Academy" - to pay homage to the ancient pioneers of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
We've been there throughout its nascence and today the school finally held an inauguration ceremony with all the bells and whistles. We learned more about how much of an impact their institution has had so far. Jomarie Lanza reports:
