"I am happy that Dr. Rosado has been by my side from I became Commissioner of Police. He was in Eastern Division and then he came to Belmopan in 2022 and since then he was Commander of Operations and he has been integral in all our planings."

"Even with our policing plan, he is an integral part of the architect of that plan and so he knows where we're going, he knows where we came from and I am sure that he is going to build on what we have done over the past six years."

"Again, the foundation has been laid. The blocks have been laid. It's a matter of taking the building higher, right? So it's like building a building with different floors. Certain floors have been built and it's just a matter now to take it up to the sky and while we celebrate or we reap the benefits from the trees that we're reaping these benefits from, we must never forget those who came before us, who planted the seeds. So the former Commissioners, Commissioner Wiley, Commissioner Henderson, Commissioner Jeffries, Commissioner Zatina, Hughington Williams, they were there before us and they did a lot to bring the department to a certain level and it was just a matter for us to continue under my tenure and know that I have handed over to Mr. Rosado. He is just now going to make sure that he continues on that path to build the department to become a more reputable organization. Again, serving the Belizean people, providing security is an important asset or value to a democratic society and we understand that."
