posted (May 20, 2025)
Fitzgerald Brown - he's the third hero who was on that hijacked Tropic Air Flight on April 17th. He was the first to be stabbed and got a total of 7 wounds. As we showed you last week, he is receiving physiotherapy to recover form his injuries. And now - via his wife's Facebook page, he has made his first statement. He says, quote,

"A routine flight just before Easter, had me and two Tropic Air employees, fighting for our lives at the hands of a possessed hijacker on April 17. We survived the ordeal with life-threatening injuries, but so did the 11 other terrified passengers on that fateful flight from Corozal to San Pedro. Though I have been quiet after two hospital stays, recovering from my injuries, I am thankful to be alive and happy to report that I am improving every day!"

"I am no hero; I am just a regular guy who did what anyone in my position would have done to save lives. A responsibility was put upon me, and I rose to the occasion for the good of many."

Brown - who was flying with his licensed weapon fired the fatal shots at Akinyele Taylor as he was trying to stab the pilot, Howell Grange to death. He stabbed Grange 11 times.
