We've been showing you the Budget debate all throughout the news - and the House Meeting just concluded a short while ago. But the debate itself has ended, with the PM wrapping it up as per convention. He started off by criticizing the UDP's complaints, particularly the Leader of the Opposition. And then he surprised the chambers by expressing that he missed the former Leader, Shyne Barrow. But, he prefers the current Mesopotamia rep's cooking.

"In the case of the leader of the opposition, the LOO, Mr. Speaker, her dramatic pivot. It is LOO. That's what your former Prime Minister, your leader, said, LOO. And not once did you get up and say, it is the LOO."
"It is the LOO. And that's fine. Her starkly metamorphosis of being critic-in-chief, as pointed out by the Deputy Prime Minister, has been particularly glaring since for her previous years in this House and as a Minister of State, she saw nothing but milk and honey in the UDP budgets."
"Maybe if they look at the mirror, they'll see why is it that there's only three of them today. And how much we have over this side? 26. Yes, all of us."
"You imagine how much houses you could have built in $600 million of oil [money], or $500 million of a Petro-Caribe, Man this house would have been shining. And the Boledo money, well no talk about Shyne Barrow by the way."
"I kind of miss him sometimes, you know. Sometimes. But I'd rather the present member for Mesopotamia right now." (smiling)
