And while we will have to wait and see where that June event goes - Finnegan insists that -as the party's constitution says, the party leader must come from parliament:

"That is his business the leader of the party has to come from the parliament and if you are not a member of parliament then you cannot be leader of the united Democratic Party. You know how long I tell them to fix that, I told them that for years that must be fixed the leader of the party could come from anywhere. And that's what Shyne thinks too, That should have been done long time ago it can't be done now when it suits you, and I told him to do that and they ignored me."
