A 13 year old student was reportedly raped while on her school's compound by another student last week in Belmopan. She reported the incident and her assailant was charged. Here's what we know so far.

"Police formerly arrested and charged a 14 year old male minor of Belmopan City for the crime of unlawful carnal knowledge. This arrest came as a consequence of a report being made by a 13 year old female minor that on the 28th of May whilst on her school compound in Belmopan City, the male minor had sexual intercourse with her against her will. The male minor was arraigned before the Belmopan Magistrate Court where he was subsequently remanded to New Beginnings Facility."
A slight correction, the charge was unlawful sexual intercourse, not unlawful carnal knowledge.
