He spent several years on remand for the murder of a cop. He claimed it was an accident but 32 year old Josue Amador a waiter, residing in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye was charged with the murder of 51 year old police officer, corporal Alfonso Guy, after the 2 were out drinking in January of 2019.
On that night, Amador, playing with Guy's pistol, accidentally shot the officer. Amador appeared yesterday afternoon before Justice Candace Nanton, and pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.
Amador was represented by attorney Ronell Gonzalez, his sentencing date is yet to be announced.
