posted (June 10, 2025)
Social media personality Joseph Budna is out on bail tonight.

That's after a brief period of remand which ended when he appeared back in court today for another set of alleged cybercrime offenses, this time against Minister of State, Ramon Cervantez.

Budna was re-arraigned in the Orange Walk court, where he pled guilty to two charges of "used computer system to disseminate false information with the intent to cause another person embarrassment or public ridicule." Budna pleaded for leniency and apologized to the minister, and was then fined $2,300 for the first count, to be paid before December 31st, and $2,500 for the second count, to be paid before January 31st, in default one year in prison for each count.

While in court, Budna also made a bail application on the previous cybercrime charge brought against him, for which he was initially denied bail. He was offered bail this time around in the amount of $3,000 dollars. He will reappear in court on August 15th.
