When you hear on the news that someone has been robbed at gunpoint, it’s
almost automatic to assume that the perpetrator is a young man. But around eleven
on Monday morning, it was a woman who pulled a gun to rob a sixteen year old
boy. The teenaged victim was selling vegetables from a bicycle cart on Faber’s
Road when the woman – who was accompanied by two men - pulled a black
firearm from her pants waist and placed it to his forehead while one of her
accomplice held him and the other hit him in his stomach and back.
The minor says the woman then searched his front pants pocket and took one
hundred and five dollars that was on him. All three suspects then jumped onto
separate bicycles and rode off towards Faber’s Road Extension. Belize
City Police say they have one man detained and are now looking for the woman
and another man.
