Last week Wednesday we told you about Adolfo Gomez. He’s the 17 year
old who was shot in the head at the corner of Mex Avenue and Fairweather Street.
He was on his way home after cutting grass in Ladyville. Though the bullet went
through his skull he survived and is reported to be recovering. Today, another
teenager, 17 year old Andrew Talbert was charged for the armed assault.
Andrew Talbert was arraigned in the Family Court on three different charges,
one count of attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm.
He appeared with his parents in front of Magistrate Roberta Perez at the Belize
Family Court but was denied bail due to the nature of the offence. No plea was
taken and he has been remanded to the boot camp located at the Hattieville Prison
until October 7.
