He declined to be interviewed by 7NEWS but twenty
eight year old Belize City resident Michael Caine is lucky to be alive. He was
stabbed multiple times in the back. The knife man has been identified as thirty
six year old Corozal Town resident Alvin Conorque. Police are still trying to
determine what caused the men to argue but by the time it was over Michael Caine
had been stabbed four times.
The assault occurred on Monday morning in the port area. While Belize City
police have been unable to find the weapon since yesterday they have detained
Alvin Conorque. And while it is expected that charges will be levied against
Alvin Conorque, Michael Caine remains in a stable condition at the Karl Heusner
Memorial Hospital.
