And while the murders continue to climb, there were two near misses last night
as a man and women were injured in separate but almost simultaneous shootings.
At about 6:00 38 year old Marion Henkis was on Regent Street West when she
saw two men on bicycles open fire on her. It could have been deadly, but she
received only minor injury and was treated and released from the hospital.
And twenty minutes later 37 year old Carl Bradley was shot as he walked on East
Canal in the area near Berkeley Street. He was hit in the right shoulder and
was treated and released. Both shootings happened in the same geographical area
within twenty minutes of each other.
