And now to the shooting in Belize City on Saturday night....Since his
two brothers Faron and Tyrone were gunned down and killed and the passing of
his mother, Therese, Terry Felix has been tying to promote peace especially
in the community he lives in, but around five forty five on Saturday evening
someone shot the twenty seven year old. Luckily he suffered an injury only to
his hip. Police investigations reveal that Felix was with twenty three year
old Edward Thompson standing on Faber’s Road in front of Excelsior High
School when a minor now identified as a fifteen year old rode on a bicycle in
front of them and fired several shots in their direction.
Thompson was hit in left heel while Felix received a gunshot wound
to the hip. At this time police do not have a motive for the shooting or know
who was the intended target. Today when 7News caught up with Terry Felix he
told us he does not know why anyone would want to kill him because all he has
been doing is trying to end the street violence something he says he will continue
to do.

“I think I was at the wrong place at the wrong time because I saw
the fellow a coupe times. I saw him go guy gas for his mom and thing, sometimes
he passes through Gill Street. So when I saw him, I was surprised when we pointed
the gun and shot me.”

“Yes ma’am because I don’t want no retaliation I just
want peace because it is hard to lose your mom and two brothers and I almost
lost my life too. That is kind of hard. All this shooting and thing doesn’t
make no sense.”

“I am okay right now I could walk.”
Today, the fifteen year old minor was charged with two counts of attempted
murder because he is a minor police have not released his name.
