Shyne is coming home on Wednesday. 7News has confirmed
that Jamal Shyne Barrow, who now calls himself Moses Michael Levy will be deported
from New York and arrive on a Continental Airlines Flight from Houston on Wednesday
afternoon. It is expected that he will be greeted at the airport by his Father
Prime Minister Dean Barrow and his Uncle, Housing Minister Michael Finnegan.
When he arrives, it will be his first breath of freedom in almost 9 years and
it will be only the second time since the 31 year old has returned home since
he left nearly two decades ago.
His Uncle Finnegan is building an extension on his Goldson Avenue home for
him. He told us two weeks ago that he expects Shyne will resume his recording
career utilizing his CARICOM Citizenship to gain access to recording studios
in the Caribbean.
