And there was a brutal robbery and rape in Belize City on Monday night. It happened around 11:15 when a 22 year old female was walking on Marine Parade Boulevard, along with a male co-worker.

At the junction with Eve Stree, they were approached by three men, two of dark complexion and the other of clear complexion.

One of the men pointed a firearm at them demanding money. The woman handed over her cellular phone three dollars in cash, whilst her co-worker handed over his cellular phone along with his wallet with $150 dollars in cash and his personal documents.

A struggle then ensued between the male co-worker and the three assailants, but he was over powered. The dark complexion male person with the firearm then took the female a couple feet away and raped her.
