The plight of Greilin Carcamo that we aired on Tuesday's newscast drew attention from many concerned viewers who wanted to help this young mother. As we reported, she needed a catheter installed in her stomach so that she could access dialysis because all her blood vessels had collapsed from over-use.
Well there is good news to report tonight: with the help of Belize Healthcare Partners and other contributors who came forward she has gone to Guatemala to get a new catheter installed.
After the procedure - providing there are no foul up's - as happened before - she will be able to get dialysis in Belize.
Both of the 23 year old's kidneys have failed since she started having kidney problems two years ago.
