One More Charged For “Accents” Robbery

The Accents Gift shop armed robbery, it occurred at the northern foot of the swing bridge on March 25th. And today over two months later 18 year old Julian Dyer, who was wanted by the police was charged with 2 counts of robbery and 1 count of aggravated assault when he appeared in court.

His accomplice, a 17 year old who got shot during the exchange of gunfire at the robbery, was jointly charged with Dyer. They both pleaded not guilty. Bail was denied because of the nature of the offences and they were remanded until July 19th.

The minor also has been charged previously for the same incident; on that occasion, he was charged for 4 counts of attempted murder, dangerous harm, use of deadly means of harm, wounding, damage to property, and an unlicensed firearm. Dyer and his partner allegedly went into the gift shop armed and ready to rob the store and a customer who was inside. One customer ran out of the shop, and was pursued by one of the robbers, which is when the exchange of fire began.
