And then there was another shooting last night. It happened at five minutes to ten at the corner of Lakeview and Vernon streets where Julian Castillo was in a yard when police say Sherlock Martinez known as Mini-Man shot him to the left lower back. MARTINEZ was detained and is held pending charges. But before police charge him for that, they today took him to court for another related offence.
The 37 year old Miniman was charged alongside 3 members of his family and a family friend for keeping a .22 revolver without proper licensing for the weapon. Miniman who pleaded guilty to get the rest of his family off the charges, got sentenced to 2 years in prison because he had no priors with firearms or ammunition. The charges against the others were dropped. Miniman will be charged in conjunction with the shooting later this week.
