Arnold is accused of breaking into two homes and trying to rape two underage girls. It is a disgusting, outrageous assault and Monica Bodden found out more:..

"At the moment I was sleeping and hear my daughter crying so spin around off the bed and ask her what is she crying for and she said mom its "crazy". My house was in darkness, usually I left on both lights because of my baby and by the time I could say "what are you crying for" is because all I see is my curtain brush and the floor made a little noise that someone ran out of my house."

33 Michael Arnold invited himself inside the home of Lorna Bardalez and Cecil Patnett around 2am on Sunday morning. The couple along with their four children were sleeping at the time.

He entered It was through this back door -which was opened at the time. He made his way to the bedroom of the family's 12 year old daughter.

Lorna Bardalez - Mother
"So I ask her what is it again and she came back and said mom its "crazy" I say what do you mean "Crazy" she say yes "Crazy" come and threaten me and told me not to make any sound and "if you tell anybody that I am here I will kill you" I ask her what do she mean by not making any sound? She said that "crazy" told her that he will put the pillow over her face. I ask her waht did "Crazy" do to you? She said that "Crazy" lift her her blouse and feel me up from my bellt to my breast and then he took off my pants. I ask her if that the the only thing he did? she said yes mommy because that was the same time I hollored and so he didnt get any opportunity to touch. He had promise my little girl that he will give her a chain. The part that hurt me is that he told me that he love my daughter already and that I dont have any problem with it. I dint have any kind of talking with him about that."

Arnold who is known to the family as Crazy- was identified by the little girl. That was when the little girl's father went out looking for him.

Cecil Patnett - Father
"My stepson and I went looking for this man, we circle the whole village that same morning, we didn't find him so I decide to go back at my girl aunt house to call her 2 son that knows this man. I was going to explain to them that this man who is their friend comes and try to molest my little girl, he wanted to rape her. Mean while I am in their house explaining what happen, this man was in their house."

Arnold then made his way inside another house - the home of- Martha Palmer - sister of Lorna Bardalez who lives a few blocks away. He entered through the kitchen window and according to the family his intentions were similar - this time - for a 13 year old little girl.

"I was sleeping when I heard somebody yelled tap so when my brother gets up he open the door and I went behind him and I see that it was my cousin boyfriend and my little cousin that was there, I listen to what they had to say. I recognize that there was not any light in the house so I went back and put on the light, when I did that and i spin around I see the man right in front of me. My cousins was at the door and my brother was right behind me, so the man went to the door and said "it is me that you are looking for" then the man push in my cousin and her boyfriend then he push the door so that we couldn't go outside. I went thru the side door behind the yard, I know my yard more than anybody in this area and I just see his shadow behind a tree. I had a 2 x 4 and I whopped him with the 2 x 4 and he run in the bush. We chase him down about 3 - 4 lanes and we capture him and we bring him and beat him up because he is a child molester. He already knows he is sick and he need to stop. So we try come to put it to an end. Police give us the right to kill him but we didn't do it because we are not that kind of people, but if push comes to shove we will have to do what we have to do."

"Now I know that his pants and his boxers are actually in your yard. I mean you guys beat him out his pants?"

"Well we beat him until he dance out of it."

According to both families - poverty is a contributing cause of what went on Sunday morning. They both say they have been asking their area representative for some help to fix and secure their broken down homes.

Lorna Bardalez - Mother
"My mother and I went to ask Mr. Hutchinson for a little help. He came to my house when it was voting time and I ask him if he can please help me with some zinc. I brought him inside the house and I ask him. You see the plastic up there, when it rains my house get wet, sometime all over my bed get wet. I told him that I don't mind the 2 x 4, if I only get the zinc that would help. Up to this time I didn't get an answer from that man."

Thirty-three year old Arnold who was on bail for a charge of rape, has been charged with aggravated assault of an indecent nature and burglary for what happened on Sunday morning.

He pleaded not guilty when he appeared this morning in the # 6 Magistrate's Court. He was offered bail of $2,000 and his case was adjourned until November 5.

He was arraigned on the charge of burglary this afternoon in the #8 Magistrate's Court. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and he was offered a bail of $6,000. His case was adjourned until November 3. He could not met bail and was remanded.

According to the police case before the court, the 12 year old girl reported to police that she and her mother were asleep in one room, their beds separated by a curtain when she was awakened a man told her not scream otherwise he will suffocate her with her pillow.

She also said the man told her he will give her a gold chain if she had sex with him. The girl said she screamed when the man tried to take off her clothes and her mother woke up.

The man ran from the house and went to the house of Martha Palma, located a short distance away. Palma's 13 year old daughter saw the man hiding in the bathroom when she went to use the bathroom. Her scream awoke and alerted the other occupants of the house including her brothers.

The intruder ran and tried to escape but he was caught and beaten.
