Yesterday San Ignacio police were called to the hospital of that town where they saw Leonardo Velasquez suffering from two stab wounds to the left side of his chest. Police investigations reveal that Velasquez, who is a food vendor in the town, was walking by the wooden bridge when he was approached by an unknown man. The man stabbed Velasquez, robbed and later threw him in the Macal River. Velasquez is now in the KHMH in a serious but stable condition.
