For the past week, we've been reporting on the back and forth over Belize's High Commissioner to the UK Kamela Palma. When the Ministry of Foreign Affiars put out a release on Monday putting her business in the street - so to speak - we thought for sure that had to be the end of it.
But it's not. After all that righteous indignation it seems Cabinet yesterday decided to take her back. But that's only after - as the Prime Minister had suggested - she made an apology to the CEO and accepted his authority.
In turn, we understand that Belmopan has decided to send an auditor to the high commissions office in the UK to investigate that office's affairs and Palma's allegations of mismanagement of public resources by one junior staffer…
