Bad Business For Burgess
posted (January 19, 2011)
Nineteen year old Glenmore Burgess, charged with robbery, put himself in more trouble yesterday when he went to the magistrate's Court and met the complainant, David Ylescas.

Ylescas reported to the police that while he was in court Burgess came and sat beside him and asked him to drop the charge because he has a family. As a result, Burgess was charged with attempted suppression of evidence. Burgesss pleaded not guilty to the charge when he was arraigned today in Magistrate's Court. v The prosecution objected to bail on the grounds that the incident occurred at court number 8 and Burgess has a history of robbery charges. Burgess in response to the objection to bail first said he has a 3 month old baby to maintain, then later said the baby is 6 months old. Because he was not a credible person Magistrate Roberto Ordonez upheld the objection and remanded him into custody until February 23.
