Did “Bap” Shoot A Man With A .45?

Eighteen year old Shakeem Humes, known as "Bap", was charged with the attempted murder of 19 year old Clement Bol Jr when he appeared today in the Magistrate's Court. Humes was also charged with wounding and use of deadly means of harm. Magistrate Albert Hoare explained to him that no plea will be taken because the offences are indictable. He also explained to Humes that the court cannot offer him bail because of the nature of the offences. He remanded Humes into custody until March 4th. The incident occurred on Saturday January 22. Bol reported to the police that he was walking on West Canal Street going towards Berkley Street when Humes fired 4 shots at him and one of them struck him in his left leg. The police reported that they recovered three point 45 expended shells from the scene.
