Paradise Energy Re-loaded?
posted (February 17, 2011)
The oil exploration company called Paradise Energy - half owned by the prime minister's nephew Kimano Barrow - has been making plenty of headlines recently - and while the controversy had subsided, it's started all over again today with a headline in the Belize Times. The article alleges that documents at the companies registry show the original owners of Paradise Energy, Kimano Barrow and Alfredo Acosta making way for some American oil men, Oren F. Miles I and II, Allen Saum and Erubiel Ku who are installed as directors by a resolution.

The article alleges and presents documents which show the newcomers now owning a supermajority of the shares. At the Prime Minister's recent press conference, he said that he had no doubt American Investors were going to partner with his nephew - this however appears to be more than partnering.

Saum's name is well known after he made broad allegations of corruption against functionaries of the Musa Administration in October of 2007.
